The Air University
Review was published from 1947-1987 on a bimonthly
basis. It was designed to serve as an
open forum for presenting and stimulating innovative
thinking on military doctrine, strategy, tactics,
force structure, readiness, and other national defense
matters. In 1987 it was renamed Airpower Journal,
then Aerospace Power Journal, and currently the Air & Space
Power Journal, the Professional Journal of the United
States Air Force. Articles published from 1987 to
the current year can be found in the ASPJ
